WANTED: More Illustrations

Hi guys, I just wanted to drop a line and encourage everybody to post a little something that they've drawn, painted, sketched, doodled, or in some fashion drawn. I think it'll be more fun to have a blog with art. Rebecca's already started the trend, and I'll contribute a piece here. Please post something of your own.

I'm sure you guys remember what a failed attempt this first painting turned out to be (mine was, "You are What You Imagine"). Then I started over (from scratch, even) and came up with a bit of a stronger composition.




My daughter, Abbey still asks me where the dog is. I don't have a good answer, so I guess I'd better find a way to work him back into the painting.

Hey ya'll. I wanted to say that I'm in and will scan an image soon. I'm glad we'll have a way to link up because with graduation fast approaching I'm really going to miss everyone. Rick

What are you going to be?

Does anybody else think it's funny when people ask you what you are majoring in and then after saying "illustration" they ask you what you want to do with that and you pause and say... be an illustrator.

This blog is for all the amazing illustrators I know so we can keep in touch as long as blogs exist. (and after that we'll figure out something else) We can post about our latest books being published, gallery opening shows, new spouses, new kids, where you move to, anything so we can keep tabs on each other. I'm really excited to hear about your lives as famous illustrators. And we can all add illustrations to the blog whenever we want and website links. Fun for all!
